So this past week my sweet momma had a heart attack. She was taken by ambulance to Jordan Valley hospital where she endured heart surgery. She had a stint placed and now is trying to recover in ICU. They are having a difficult time stopping the bleeding, so she will continue to recovery in ICU. McKoy gets to see his grammy almost daily and he sure loves her & misses her dearly. We love you momma...get better soon!

Last weekend we went on a horse pack trip up to Strawberry River. My dad, Matt and I rode while my mom was kind enough to stay back at camp to watch McKoy. It was beautiful weather and the horses did great!

We had such a blast in California. McKoy had his first trip to DISNEYLAND & CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE along with his daddy, who had never been before. We had so much fun at the pool & Koy just loved the beach & ocean. The trip was for Matt's 30th Birthday. We celebrated the actual day at Medievil Times. McKoy was curious with all the characters & was excited during each ride. Thanks to my parents for such a wonderful trip!

November 15th, 2010 called in sick to work. I wasnt feeling good at all and 24 hrs overdue. Which feels like a week! Went in for a stress test and the nurse said she was surprised I wasnt complaining of pain. The monitor showed that I was having pretty strong contractions(nothing more than I had felt before) After the stress test was over, I headed home to catch some Zzz's. Matt got home from work around 4 and he started cleaning up leaves in our yard. I felt bad so I went outside to help him. 4:15 I told him I was in a lot of pain and needed to go lay down. He thought I was using that as an excuse to stop cleaning up leaves. I had felt contractions before but they subsided after 45 min. The DOC said they need to last for atleast an hour. So I sat and timed them....45 min had come and gone, and I knew for sure that this was it. Matt came in to check on me and I said we need to go... like NOW! We headed to the hospital in silence because any noise drove me crazy. Checked into labor & delivery at 5:30. Hooked me up to more monitors and boy oh boy was I hurting. 6:15 my lovely nurse called for the epidural. 6:3o I was done with the epidural process...It was amazing! I didnt believe that he was finished. I didnt feel a thing! So I labored for a few hours and pushed for 2 1/2. I couldnt feel a thing until the end so I pushed for along time. At 4:43 AM November 16th McKoy Sione Ma'ake Nilson was born. 7lbs 14oz 21 1/4" long! He was as healthy as they come. He is a good boy and is sleeping anywhere from 6-8 hrs a night. People always ask why McKoy has 2 middle names and where they come from. Its Tongan culture to have 2 middle names. So the Sione (see oh neigh) means "John" My dads dad my grandpas name was John (we didnt like my dads name in Tongan) and Ma'ake (muh ock ay) means "Mark" that is Matts dads name. So there ya go the journey of welcoming our lil' boy!

My boss gave me front row tickets to the Jazz game on Monday night ( im his favorite) I had a hair appt so I couldnt go. The value of the Vip event was over $1200. I tried to sell them but the guy never called me back. So I cancelled my hair appt and went w/ Tiu. It was a lot of fun & im glad we went.

A good friend of mine got married on November 12th in the Salt Lake Temple. She had her luncheon at the Joseph Smith Memorial building, which was fun & her reception was the next day at a really cool venue downtown.

Thanksgiving Weekend

Thanksgiving made for a long weekend with the Richards! We drove down to St. George to spend the holiday w/ my moms parents. We ate a lot of food, watched a lot of sports & rode in a ton of sand! We woke up early and did a little Black Friday shopping too!! After dinner Thursday we waited in line to see The Christmas Carol in 3-D.

Friday morning I met up w/ my friend Sydney from HS and her daughter Lilee. We spent the whole afternoon shopping.

Saturday Matt took me to Swiss Days and we met up w/ Matt & Kylee Coulam. Bought some more stuff and ended the day @ Tanger Outlets.

Monday we drove to Soldier Hollow for the World Championship Sheep Dog show. We also watched the splash dog show as well. We will be entering our crazy pup Mylee next year. It was a long weekend but we had lots of fun!

As most of you know 2 years ago today, I came home from work to find my 6 mo old lab hanging in a tree. She liked to climb out of the yard and follow me to work. So until I bought a dog run I tied her to a tree branch. Well long, dramatic story short she got caught in her rope, a rope toy and a kids rope swing. It spun her right up the tree. So please if you need to tie your pet, put them in a body harness first.

Last Sunday, Mylee & Tucker ripped out of their new palace. We came home from dinner w/ the fam and the dogs were GONE! We searched all night for them...The dogs didnt have any identification on them either (came off in the escape) So needless to say we were freaking out that our dogs were lost and there was no way for them to return to us without tags on. I call the Sandy Animal Shelter first thing Monday morning. They had just received a call on two dogs. Was told to call an hour later once they had arrived in the shelter. I call and it sounds like my dogs, so Matt & I rush down. I knew the second we walked in that our dogs were there. I know my dogs bark when I hear it. We go back to the "jail" and identify them. They were FOUND! Mylee had been hit by a car in rush hour traffic and the person who hit her called the pound. They were picked up by the train station...Where were they planning on going? Took Mylee to the vet and she has staples in her head and stitches all over her legs. No broken bones!! One lucky dog.

This morning while working with the horses Tuck was stung by yellow jackets. He came running up to me and his head looked like a hive. He went between my legs to get them off and low and behold I get stung. Here are some pics of our expensive kids....

Tuckers left eye is swollen and right side of his mouth. He is lucky we have a stash of medicine to help w/ the swelling.

Pupunu Family Reunion

Yay for us...we finally found a house! We have a way cute 5 bedroom 3 bath house in Sandy that we are in love with!!! Oh did I mention its horse property too?!?! So we have all 3 horses down here with us instead of at my parents house. To add to those horses we now have ducks, chickens, the two dogs and a mouse catcher...yep we have a barn cat. Mr. Kitty is @ stoned pony ranch only for the mice and snakes :-) Pictures of the house to come....

So a lot of things have happened since my last post. We went to Park City for an overnight stay and dinner at Ruths Chris for Matt's birthday. The next day we went golfing, bowling and then hit up the spa. Dinner @ Pats BBQ w/ his side of the family to celebrate. My sisters gf also had a birthday. She was surprised with a horse. So today was my wonderful husbands 28th birthday!! Yippee skippee. We had a wonderful day together. I will post pics and more details later I just need to vent a bit. So on our way home from dinner we get a call that our cousins were in a very bad accident (check it on channel 4 tonight @ 10) They were life flighted to the hospital so I go to the scene to take pics. Brand new truck is completely gone. I mean GONE! Cops were being total jerks(you are all getting an edited version) So my two cousins lost their dad in a car accident 2 yrs ago. So this is a touchy subject in the family. Another cousin is at the scene with us and he was telling the cop that the boys' dad was killed in an accident. I mumble under my breath to my cousin that the cops dont care that happened. I know this because I said the same thing to the same cop and he said he didnt care. So after I mumbled they dont care he got in my face and asked me to leave the "crime scene" What crime scene? He had a diabetic seizure! And Im on public property (LDS Church) and outside of the crime scene tape!! So this cop is walking towards me telling me to move and im not going anywhere. He is ready to put me in cuffs because Im "not cooperating" Can someone please explain why cops get to use their authority outside of their leagal boundries and get away with it? Get this....his last name was prettyman!! I intentionally didnt capitalize his last name because he doesnt desearve that! lol thanks for the vent. I needed to prep for my city complaint!!

Kate Ryan turned 5!! She acts like she is 12!! She wanted the family to go to Fat Cats for pizza and bowling. So her wish came true. I added a lil' spice and asked everyone to dress 80's style. A FEW DAYS AGO, I HAD AN EMERGENCY PATIENT COME INTO OUR OFFICE WITH A BROKEN TOOTH. IT JUST SO HAPPENS THAT HE IS A DINOSAUR IN THE PRODUCTION GOING ON AT THE DELTA CENTER THIS WEEK. HE GAVE ME A BUNCH OF TICKETS TO THE SHOW. SO MY HUSBAND, PARENTS AND CO-WORKERS ALL ATTENDED. HE GOT US GREAT SEATS, AND THE SHOW WAS PRETTY COOL.

So this was the first time ever that I have had to work on my birthday. I managed to get through the work day thanks to my friend Jacci. She sent me my favorite dessert! CUPCAKES from SO Cupcake. They were delish!! I came home and my cute husband had all of my birthday presents wrapped up all cute! He did a good job as he always does. He spoiled me and made a point to have Christmas and my birthday a separate celebration! My parentals then came over and gave me their gift. This year my dad picked my gift out. He always does a great job too! He got me so waders that I can go duck hunting in & fly fishing!! They also got me a killer camo backpack that has a camelpak built in. Can't wait to go hiking!! We went to one of my favorite places to eat, then Matt & I went to a friends wedding! All in all I had a wonderful day.

So all of our friends and family have blogs and we decided to jump in on the fun!! So all at once we will update everyone on the Nilson family. Matt's family is from Tonga (pretty cool huh?) So you will see I often refer to him on here by his Polynesian name for I have other "Matts" in my family. His name in Poly is Matiu. For short we all call him Tiu (D-U) or for many of you, you know him as "THE DOCTOR".
Matt and I have 2 dogs and 2 horses. They keep us super busy. We live in Holladay right now so every weekend we take a short drive to the mountains to the Stoned Pony Ranch (AKA: my parents house) to ride the horses.
Tico is the bucksin, Tahoe is the Bay and lil' Tucker is in the middle. We didn't have our other lab Mylee just yet in this picture.

Our Wedding Day

The day was perfect. Matt's mom was born in Tonga, so we had traditional Polynesian food as well as American. We also had our favorite yummy desserts. Matt's mom did a traditional Poly wedding dance while a family memeber played a guitar and sang a polynesian wedding song. It was a huge surprise for everyone there, because it had been awhile since she had last danced. It was so good to see all of our friends too. So thanks to all who came from out of state. We love you guys!!
